Hiadina Hernandez, LVN - Clinic Services Manager

Hiadina has been a part of Dr. Sunio's team since 2006. At Sunmed Health and Weight Management. She is also a Licensed vocational nurse dedicated to providing quality care and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. As a hardworking professional and proud mom of two, she knows how to juggle a full plate with heart and determination.

Outside of work, she finds joy in gardening, traveling with family, and spending time with her pets. Whether she is caring for patients, managing our team or getting her hands dirty in the garden, she brings passion to everything she does.

Desiree Sanchez - Front Office Executive/Aesthetician

As Front Office Executive of Sunmed Health and Weight Management, Desiree has been a member of Dr. Gilbert Sunio's team since 2009. Born and raised in Colorado, Desiree has attended Colorado Mesa University while majoring in early childhood development. However, soon after, found a passion and has been in the medical field since 1996. She has been stationed in several states due to the military and in her travels takes pride in helping others. Desiree has become a certified Medical Administrative Assistant and has experience in managing and overseeing a team of employees.

Karen Orosco, MA - Lead Back Office Assistant/Aesthetician

As Lead Medical Assistant. Karen joined Dr. Sunio's team in December of 2017. She has been in the Medical Field for over fifteen years and has a passion for patient care. On her time off she enjoys spending time with her husband and Daughters and Grandchildren, also travels to visit her son who is currently serving in the US Army.

Suzette Burton, Patient Care Coordinator

Sue, as everyone calls her, is our Patient  Care Coordinator.  Having been a personal caregiver for nearly a decade, she understands the importance of quality patient care and its effects on a patient's positive outcome and satisfaction.  With a degree in Development Communication and Philosophy, she always strives to ensure patient needs are met through compassion, respect and advocacy.  She enjoys gardening, cooking, connecting with friends and travelling with her son.

Nicole Montano, MA  - Medical Assistant/Front Office Administrator

Nicole has been a medical assistant for 8yrs. She started in pediatrics and has an associates degree in medical assisting. She has been a great addition to the Sunmed Health and Weight management family. Nicole is excited to meet and get to know each of our patients. When she is not at work she is spending time with her two wonderful sons. 

Maria Yesenia Rebollado, MA  - Lead Medical Assistant

Yesenia is a charismatic, kind, and hardworking essential member of our staff. Apart from providing above and beyond patient care, she is always happy to help any team member. During her free time, she enjoys shopping, relaxing, and most importantly spending time with her amazing son. She plans to continue her education in the future

Brianda Aispuro, MA  - Medical Assistant

Brianda joined our team as a Medical Assistant student. She is a valued team member that balances the demands of healthcare with the joys of motherhood. When she is not caring for others either at work or at home, she enjoys every moment life has to offer. Brianda is passionate, hardworking and full of energy.

Brian Nunez, MA  - Medical Assistant

Brian has been with us since 2024. He has been a great addition to our growing family. Brian is caring, outgoing, and hardworking. He is a team player and always ready to further his knowledge. In his free time, he enjoys reading books, shopping for fine jewelry, and spending time with his family. In the future, he plans to continue his education in healthcare.

Natalie Frias, MA  - Medical Assistant

Natalie has been a medical assistant for over a year. She joined our family back in 2024 and has been an important team member in our practice. When she is not busy obtaining authorizations or obtaining vital signs for our patients, she enjoys working out at the gym. Her family supports her educational goals and she enjoys spending time with them.

Sarah Presas Gallo, MA  - Medical Assistant

Sarah’s journey from working in the fields to becoming a medical assistant has been both meaningful and rewarding, especially as the first in her Hispanic family to graduate from college. This role has given her the opportunity to make a positive impact on patients’ lives while continuing to grow personally and professionally. She values the supportive and collaborative environment at her workplace, where everyone goes above and beyond to ensure high-quality patient care. Outside of work, she loves spending quality time with her family, who keep her grounded and inspired.

Nanci Lemus  - Patient Services Coordinator

Nanci is the newest receptionist to our team. She is the friendly face that is always ready to greet you at check-in. She loves connecting with people and creating a welcoming environment wherever she goes. Nanci is always willing to go above and beyond in patient care and take each call personally.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with friends and family and going out to watch the latest movies in the theater.

Cynthia Hernandez  - Medical Assistant

Cynthia is one of our new medical assistants that joined our team. She is a positive, reliable, and responsible person. Cynthia’s kind smile and friendliness are always around to help any patient who requires her assistance. She enjoys spending time with her four children and keeps busy with all of her reptiles and furry friends. Her future plan is to continue education in healthcare.

Alyanna Marie Manego-Lauengco  - Clinic Services Administrator

Marie is a foreign-trained medical doctor and registered medical technologist from the Philippines, currently working as Healthcare Manager. She earned her Doctor of Medicine and BS Medical Technology degrees from the University of Santo Tomas, and completed clinical training at UST Hospital, Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center, and elective rotations in Seattle, Washington. At Sunmed, Marie plays a vital role in streamlining medical operations, overseeing prior authorizations, medical billing, updating and managing electronic health records, and coordinating follow up care for patients. Marie remains passionate about primary care and preventive medicine and she aims to pursue US medical residency with the goal of specializing in Family Medicine. In her free time, Marie loves traveling with her husband, staying active at the gym, and spending time with her family and dog
